The F5P Extension Cord connects a camera body with an off-camera flash unit. This, of course, requires that both the camera body and off-camera flash have F5P sockets for the cord to plug into. If either the camera body or off-camera flash do not have built-in F5P sockets, you can add F5P sockets to either unit with adapters such as the Hot Shoe Adapter F, Hot Shoe Adapter FG, and Off Camera Shoe Adapter F.
